INSURANCE & FAQS

Many medical insurance companies provide coverage for acupuncture treatments, However, your coverage may vary depending on your specific plan.  Your out of pocket expense will vary based on your deductible, coinsurance or both.  Our office accepts and will file electronically with all insurance companies as an OUT OF NETWORK provider. 

Remember, that insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company, not with any health care provider. You are responsible for understanding your health plan.  Bergen County Acupuncture Center Inc will do its best to assist when needed in your understanding or your benefits.  

At this time, Medicare does not cover acupuncture treatments performed by a licensed acupuncturist.

If acupuncture benefits are not covered by your insurance plan we offer discounted rates. Our office accepts cash, checks and credit cards at the time of service. Payment plans may be available if needed. 

If you are not processing your treatments through insurance, our office accepts cash, checks and credit cards at the time of service.

We are an out-of-network provider and we will file electronically on your behalf with all insurance companies. Payments for services are dependent on your insurance plan agreed to by you and your employer or insurance company. Deductibles and coinsurances may apply dependent on the plan you chose.  

The office maintains a 24-hour cancellation policy. Missed appointments prevent other patients from being able to use that same appointment time. Patients who miss appointments or do not provide 24-hour notice of cancellation will be charged $95.00 (not reimbursable by insurance providers).
